It is one of the places where you can take a day trip from Barcelona.  This old town is in the northeast of Spain with the borders of France. My experience of exploring the Game of Thrones Filming Locations in Girona, Spain was fantastic.

The old town of Girona appears as the Free City of Braavos in Game of Thrones, especially for the scenes of Arya Stark in season 6.

Do you remember the scene in which Arya Stark was blind, and she was sitting on stairs and begging? Then, a waif attacks her and later trains her for the fight. The medieval quarter of Girona features in these scenes.

I was awestruck when I saw the Cathedral of Girona while exploring the Game of Thrones Filming Locations in Girona, Spain

This beauty took my breath away. The Girona cathedral is the Great Sept of Balor in King’s Landing. The scene is shot on the staircase when Queen Margaery was supposed to begin her walk of atonement.

Girona has the Arab Baths that were built in the style of Medieval Muslim baths and date back to the 12th century.

We see the Arab Baths in the Game of Thrones for a scene in Braavos between Arya and the Waif. After regaining her eyes, the waif chases Arya, and then she tries to escape inside a bathhouse.
