I started to improve my Spanish language after I watched Spanish shows on Netflix. I would list my favorite Spanish series on Netflix so that it helps you in your language journey. My recommedation is not to binge watch, but an episode a day helps in understanding and to learn new things better. In my opinion, Netflix is a great way to learn and improve the language.

5 Must-See Spanish Series to Watch on Netflix

I mention my favorite Spanish Series on Netflix here. These five spanish series are of different genres, so grab your popcorn and get started!

Velvet

The series is about one of the high-end fashion stores, Velvet of Madrid, Spain. This 1950s love story of the store’s heir and seamstress is full of drama and romance. It has four seasons. I am sure you will lose your heart to the romance between Alberto and Ana.

Gran Hotel (Grand Hotel)

It is a period drama Spanish show. The story is about a brother who wants to find his sister at one of the renowned hotels. This show has all the flavors of romance, drama, and comedy. The plot twists are the best.

I loved the romance between Yon Gonzales and Amaia Salamanca.

Tiempos de Guerra (Morocco: Love in Times of War)

The story is about a group of nurse trainees from the upper class of Spain. The story is about these women who serve as volunteers in the 1920 Spanish-Morocco war. It is a drama series. I love both the actors, Álex García and Amaia Salamanca.

It has only one season.

La casa de Papel (Money Heist)

My list is not complete if I do not mention this popular Spanish show. La Casa de Papel is a renowned Spanish show with a good storyline, actors, music, and plot twists. It released its final season lately.

Betty en NY

The series is about a nerdy girl, Betty. The story picks up when she gets a job as a personal assistant in one of the famous fashion companies.
The season has 123 episodes.

Tip: Keep a notebook or any notes-making tool while watching these shows. You must note the new words, verbs, and things you did not understand. Search them later to improve your Spanish.
